Today hemp is synonymous with CBD. However, it can be used for so much more. Hemp can be used for making several popular products including clothing paper and more. As a matter of fact, you may be unknowingly using some hemp products. In this blog post, we’ll look at some products that hemp can be used to create.

Hemp Apparel: Not all apparels in the market are made from cotton or silk. Some are made from hemp fiber and for good reasons. Hemp fiber offers many advantages than traditional fibers like cotton and silk. For instance, hemp fibers are very porous and thereby allows your skin to breathe easily. The fiber also softens with age while being mildew resistant. Not to mention that it is also durable and eco-friendly.

Despite these evident advantages, hemp still has a long way to go to become a mainstream fiber in the apparel industry.

Hemp Body Care: Beauty and cosmetic companies are eager to tap into the skin benefits of hemp. Today scores of hemp skin care products are available on the market. Hemp contains several ingredients that are beneficial to the skin like essential fatty acids (omega 3 and omega 6), antioxidants like vitamin E & C and several amino acids.

Hemp Paper: Yes, hemp can also be used to manufacture paper. Hemp paper is made from hemp plants’ long or short bast fiber and offers many benefits. For instance, hemp paper is easier to make. It is also softer and thicker. It is also important to emphasize that hemp paper is far more eco-friendly and sustainable.

It may be surprising for many to know that hemp paper was once immensely popular in the ancient times, but prohibitions on growing hemp in the 19th and 20th centuries stamped out the market.

Hemp Protein Powder: Today hemp’s miraculous health benefits are all well known, resulting in numerous hemp products including hemp protein powder. Hemp protein powder has many health benefits including reducing fatigue, lowering the risk of fatal diseases like heart disease, type-2 diabetes, and constipation.

Hemp Essential Oil and Seed oil: Apart from CBD Oil, hemp is also used for making essential oil as well as hemp seed oil. While hemp essential oil comes from the upper leaves and flowers of the plant, seed oil comes from the seed. However, hemp essential oil and seed oil have limited therapeutic qualities compared to the CBD oil.
